Conducting and Teaching
Conducting:
Before moving to York, Alistair was the Musical Director of the City of Wolverhampton Choir, preparing them for joint projects and concerts of their own, including a performance of Fauré's Requiem and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. Alistair was also the conductor of the Ex Cathedra Boys Academy.
Alistair also studies Choral Conducting with Paul Spicer, and has recently completed an Associateship Diploma in Choral Conducting at the Victoria College of Music, completing the course with Distinction.
Teaching:
Alistair is a qualified singing teacher and coach and teaches privately in York, and may have availability for new singing pupils of any age or ability.
Alistair is available to teach a whole range of different skills, including:
- Singing Technique
- Vocal Performance
- Classical and pop repertoire
- Aural and Sight-reading skills
- Music Theory
